standing up for disabled people

what is the deal with society now?  i read about an 18 year old mentally challanged boy who was sentenced to 100 years in jail for sexual conduct.  what is wrong  with this picture?  just because he is disabled, he should not get away with the charge.  but i do believe that it is wrong for him to be sentenced 100 years, when our society helped make him that away.  kids go to school and bully these disabled kids and the schools do nothing, the parents do nothing, so don't you think that we are to blame.  these kids go to school to get an education just like any other kids, just cause there is something wrong with them, doesn't mean that they should be looked down on.  and sentencing a 18 year old boy that has the mind of a 6 or 7 year old to 100 years in jail is wrong.  especially when the rest of society might only get 5 to 10 years.  i know people that have sexually assaulted kids, (even there own kids) and only got 90 days in jail and 10 years probation.  my father raped me for several years and all he got was 4 hours of counseling, i got put in a foster home and sent back to his house when i graduated high school.  so  does anyone out there feel the way i do?  i have a 19 year old disabled son, that i have raised on my own.  i have watched kids bully him all through school and get away with it.  but yet he has gotten in trouble for bullying a kid.  i have even heard teachers and principals bully these kids and treat them as if they have a contigous disease.  like they are nothing.  society needs to stand up for these kids and find other places for them than in our prison system where they will be bullied again or killed.   SO LET'S START STANDING UP FOR THEM AND MAKING OUR VOICES HEARD!!!!!!

Government Grants

hi my name is trish.  i survived hurricane rita.  i had a tree come through my trailer with me and my kids in it.  i applied for fema and they gave me the money to replace it.  my ex went and got me a trailer, move it for me.  since then he left and i got the trailer and land.  land that he never had put in his name, so i am having trouble getting it put in my name.  even though i am paying the back taxes.  well, he got a bill of sale on the trailer, but never got the title.  now when hurricane ike came through, it pulled the back wall off the floor, knocked out windows, i lost my washer, dryer, computers, tv, frig, etc.  i have slowing been working to get all that back.  but i applied for help from fema, they denied me cause i dont' have the title to the trailer.  i have tried gettting the title, but the company that sold us the  trailer, went out of business.   i have even tracked down the previous owner, but no response from them.  i am a disabled mother of a disabled 19 year old son.  he and my 17 year old daughter are the only ones left at home.  but we are living in a trailer that is falling apart day to day.  i think that i am getting ahead to fix something and something else falls apart.  the trailer now has holes in the floors, back wall falling off, no outside siding on back of  trailer, holes in the roof, etc.  but most of all, since fema wouldn't help me, and i couldn't afford to fix the back wall, i was able to put up plastic, but the wiring is getting moisture and i am having trouble using my electricity.  i am worried about the house catching on fire while we are asleep, or while we are gone and we loose everything. i help people when i see someone hungry, or needing help.  during hurricane rita, i got lived in a tent in my front yard, because the tree went through the house.  i couldn't step back into it.  i was there in it when the tree went through and the wind picked it up and moved it.  i was scared.  so i lived in a tent, but i got out there cooking in the front yard everyday and fed the neighbors.  i even had coffee going all day long for anyone that needed one, or just needed a conversation, because they were lonely.   i never turned anyone down, even let people live with me after the hurricane, cause they lost there place to live.  ok, i am seeking help getting a grant to have a house built for me and my kids.  cause i don't know how much longer this trailer will last, and especially since it is hurricane season again.  i have looked at so many sites to fill out information, to find out that they charge a monthly fee.  i have tried that a couple of times, but to confusing for me.  i could never find anything to help me get a grant.  always for organizations or businesses.  i am begging for help to get a grant for a stable and secure home.  so if anyone has any info, please feel free to write me at freak_within_me@yahoo.com.   and thank you for anyone who helps me . god bless everyone.
